Terms and Conditions for Southern Gas Heating Service and Repair
Effective Date: 20th August 2025
1. Services
· We provide heating system installation, servicing, repairs, and related work as agreed in writing or verbally at the time of booking.
· All services will be performed with reasonable care, skill, and in accordance with industry standards.
2. Estimates & Pricing
· Any estimate provided is based on the information available at the time and is subject to revision if additional work or parts are required.
· Prices are exclusive of VAT (if applicable) unless otherwise stated.
· A deposit may be required before work begins.
3. Payments
· Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
· Late payments may incur interest at [X%] per month and/or recovery costs.
· Ownership of any supplied parts or equipment remains with us until full payment is received.
4. Customer Responsibilities
· You must provide clear access to the property and ensure safe working conditions.
· You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, permits, or consents (e.g., landlord approval, building regulations) unless agreed otherwise.
· Any existing heating system or pipework must be in a suitable condition for work to proceed.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
· Cancellations made less than [24/48] hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a call-out or cancellation fee.
· If we must reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible and arrange a new appointment.
6. Warranty & Liability
· We provide a [X-month/year] workmanship warranty from the completion date. Manufacturer warranties apply to installed parts and equipment.
· The warranty does not cover faults caused by misuse, neglect, tampering, or failure to carry out recommended servicing.
· Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the value of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or financial losses (e.g., loss of business or profit).
7. Emergency Call-Outs
· Emergency services are subject to availability and may incur higher charges.
· We are not liable for delays outside of our reasonable control.
8. Termination
· Either party may terminate an agreement if the other breaches these Terms and fails to remedy the breach within a reasonable period.
9. Data Protection
· We will collect and process your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
